I’ve decided to go all out and say this; that if you don’t get this song, then you probably don’t know love.
Gibbs is such a monumental feat; a perfect fairytale of the anxiousness and the heart-wrenching trepidation the princess has to endure before she can finally, with fists clenched, with blood gushing and with the wrath and honesty that set her heart on fire, tell the prince that she truly, truly wants to be with him forever and till the stars don’t shine. It’s the perfect example of losing your mind for the sake of your heart.
Thank you, Shiiina Ringo, for bestowing us with the greatest ballad in the universe. So we can cry angrily, fail majestically and bleed passionately together, all in the name of love.
